Ladies 1s match report-
‘It was a top of the table clash at home against Perth 2’s for the Kinross ladies 1’s.
Ladies had a good warm up and were ready for a tough game especially as Perth had brought some of their top players for the clash.
The ladies started strong working the ball well. Kinross opened the scoring with a well worked team goal coming for defence through midfield up to the forwards who slotted it in the back of the net, wrong footing Perth defence. Perth came back fighting though and won a corner. A valiant effort with defence getting a touch but Perth reacted quickly to put it in the goal.
Kinross kept strong to the very end with some excellent skill and determination from everyone. It was end to end. Our youngsters held their ground and didn’t let anyone barge them off the ball. Ailie controlled the midfield with calmness under pressure, Zoe and Tibbie were strong and composed in defence with Vaila and Mia creating some amazing opportunities up front for the team.
A well timed and executed goal from Gail Nelson and Katie Clayton showing her pace and skill being in the right place at the right time got a hat trick making the final score 4-2. Team showed great discipline and determination with fantastic play from everyone. Teamwork makes the dream work 💜🖤’ – Coach Lyndsey
