Summer Hockey

Every year the club arranges mixed hockey sessions every Tuesday evening during the summer months at the KGV pitch (usually from end of May all the way to end of August) from 7:30pm until 9pm. These are easy-going matches aimed at those that just want to have a knockabout when the weather is nicer!

From 2026, the club will charge a one-off fee of £35* which covers the cost of all sessions for one summer (typically around 12) and is payable through the Spond app.

Current Members

Any member who trains during the season in the following groups are invited to attend summer hockey:

  • Lates (i.e. Group 3)

  • Boys Dev

  • Girls Dev

  • Men

  • Ladies

  • Summer hockey only (those that can only play during the summer e.g. students returning from full time education)

So that we can gauge numbers, each year at the end of the season each player will receive a payment request on the Spond app to join summer hockey – we understand that not all members can play so this request is optional.

New Members

Summer hockey is great for new members who wish to ease into the club before the season starts or simply wish to try out a new sport. For those new to hockey, we typically recommend anyone above the age of 12 can attend.
