A night that was not par for the course.
The club celebrated the achievements of the 25/26 season and saw the first presentation of the Dougie Ogilvie Memorial Award.
The KGV pavillion was packed with 50 KHC members for the awards presentation and extensive buffet. The club reflected on the year past celebrating the Ladies first season in Midlands as well as the international achievements of many of our members.
The club also fondly remembered Dougie Ogilvie who we lost in March 25. Dougie’s legacy within the club was cemented with the presentation of an award in his memory. The recipient was Lyndsay Stobie who has worked tirelessly behind the scenes to promote hockey for young women and, as our Child Protection Officer.
After the awards presentation, we were taken on a crazy golf tour of the club house and pitch. It was clear that, as a club, we should stick to hockey but no windows were broken!
The only disappointment is that we couldn’t finish the buffet…
